I love the beauty of nature and all within it. I like to photograph nature including the coasts, waterfalls, mountain top vistas, down to the smallest of flowers. It sooths my mind and fills my soul with happiness.

I also love art in the form of paintings, drawings, sculptures. I like to hike in the mountains, especially when the trail leads to a waterfall or some other beautiful body of water. I also like exploring the tide pools along the coast and just walking along the beach. I like beach combing, you never know what you can find. I also like walking the path along our riverside in town or bicycling along it. Anything that involves amazing beauty is my obsession.

I have a constant love of music as well, with a somewhat diverse selection. Almost any music is good. I especially prefer to listen to music when I feel really down.

I enjoy going to the movie theater, mainly for action films, fantasy and (expletive) related sci-fi. I tend to watch drama on TV. I'm a bit of a news junkie too, with both TV and newspapers.

Well, its not in my character to brag, but since you asked:
I have only entered my artwork in 2 art shows. The first show, my works took 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th places and my best piece (or at least the one I liked) was stolen from the show before judging.
The second show, I only entered 2 pieces. I was shocked to find one won 1st place, because there were some excellent pieces in the show that I thought were far better than mine.
I have won excellence awards at work, as well as perfect attendance awards.
I helped to create a non-profit society that offered grant money to children from low income families to pursue their artistic interests.
In (expletive) I was an algebra wizard and could offer the answer to any algebraic problem before the teacher finished writing it on the board. (wish I could remember some of that)
I tend to remember obscure facts about rock music trivia - for whatever good that is.

I would like to meet someone who enjoys laughing and who shares many of my interests in art, music, movies. Someone to stroll along the beach to take in the wonders around us. Someone who can be in touch with who I am and understand that sometimes we can communicate without even speaking, that quiet doesn't mean disinterest but is more an expression of comfort and serenity. I need someone to hold me when I am down or am hurting, and who is there by my side, no matter the issue. Not to say that she won't have her own opinions, but who is willing to support me in mine with mutual respect. I need someone who can sit down and calmly discuss problems, with the knowledge that sometimes we have to compromise to find peace in our lives. I don't want a control freak! Been there, done that, don't want to do it again.
