Spirit/Mind/Body Falls in love easily . . . (so? That's so bad?)

About Me

Hey, I've been living in my head pretty much all of my life, doing the brain not brawn thing, so have ended up a string bean with not much to show at a gym.  So, knowing that if you change your thoughts you change your life, I've started thinking about seeing what I could develop on upper arms and chest. Now I have always thought guys who focused on appearance were pretty shallow, and maybe it's true.  I guess I'm giving myself a chance to see.  I'm up every day disciplined and exercising--working hard.  We'll see where I end up in three months.  They say it's never too late, and you're never too old.Other than exercise that defines me these days, I guess there is something to the stack of framed college and university diplomas I was keeping in the closet (I'm not in the closet, the diplomas were).  I've got four of them.  I'm a lifelong learner.  Like everybody, I'd be more complete if I had another guy, or maybe even other guys, sharing a more intimate part of my life.  I look at the guys on these personals pages, and a lot of you look very good to me!  (I wouln't be kicking you out of bed.)One thing that's true of me is that my life has gotten better and better with each passing year.  I've succeeded at most everything I've tried throughout my adult life, and the latest thing (the last 5 yrs. or so) has been to bring the ideas of the men and women who were pioneers of the "science of mind" into my life in a strong way, living that life and believing in that truth.  They say that life is good, that God is good, and that if we have real knowledge we needn't have fear.  They say that we can do God's will, and know that won't mean that we have to act pious, or deprive ourselves of any good thing that we want, because God is a God of good, not of punishment and not an accountant in the sky waiting to punish us for failure to obey, or for wantin

OK.  I've got four college degrees, one undergraduate and three graduate.  I'll admit, I'm not stupid, but do think that this isn't all there is to me.  I've taught, I've founded non-profit corporations, all of which are sill going strong today, I've been a crisis worker in mental health, responding to emergencies in our local hospital and jail.  I'm a portrait painter, and I design clothing and have worked in the beauty and fashion industries (the non-profit group hasn't always known about the beauty and fashion group and vice-versa, something like two sorts of life I've lived).  I've learned how to be successful living in the city and also how to be frugal and make a dollar last and live in the county or the forest.  Most of all, my biggest accomplishment has been learning how to be self sufficient and not to be a drag on society or the planet.

Who I'd Like To Meet

There's the man that I meet and the man that I marry...  The man that I meet is just about anybody who is clean, reasonably attractive or at least in his own way interesting looking.  (Sometimes I really like the slender kind of guy who's clearly balding, has grey facial hair, wire framed glasses and hangs out in art galleries and bookstores.)  Then, oh yes, there's the kind of guy who even though he's let his body go to pot, as they say, sitting in an office and drinking coffee, he's got a lot of fur on his chest, and he's not that small down below.  He's a guy who's mainly interested in sex and likes to get down to business, even with a tall string bean like me.  Oh yeah, I like that guy a lot.  Sometimes that guy doesn't work in an office, often he's doing something outdoors or in a factory.  Sometimes he's a government worker. Then there's the guy that I marry.  He'll have to be . . . someone who has a strong sense of who he is, what he wants, and has some experience in getting it.  He's not embarrassed about being gay, but proud of it.  Sex is important to him, but not the be all and end all of life (he can leave that role to me), he's definitely a reader and researcher and prefers to find out how and what to do on his own rather than relying on the opinions of others.  He's a do-it-yourselfer who likes to build or make his own things, either with art and craft or in some other media, he's quick to laugh and absolutely able to poke fun at himself, he doesn't always have to be right.  The man of my dreams loves his life, just like I love mine, and most of the time we do things for the sheer joy of living and doing, and other times we're helping little old ladies and widows and orphans and all the other folks who need a helping hand.  He's unfailingly kind and polite, and as such he's an inspiration to me.The man I shall marry is a man I'll be proud to be seen with at a potluck or a ho
