You stay classy, State College!
Okay, first of all, what the heck is it with my description getting erased again & again? I wrote some absolutely Shakespearean stuff last time, but I'm not even in the mood now. I'll make this quick then, since it might well just get erased... I'm a very energetic & outgoing person. I stay busy working full-time as a cost estimator for a small local company, and part-time on the weekends as a bouncer down at a local nightclub. Kinda weird combination - I've gone from haggling over prices with engineers in an expensive office suite to wrestling with a pissed-off drunk on the beer soaked floor of a bar in the span of a couple hours. In my free time, I hit the gym a lot. I do strength training and cardio three times per week, and train "mixed martial arts" another two days a week. "Mixed martial arts" is basically what you see in events like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) - a mixture of kickboxing, wrestling, and jujitsu. I've done some amateur tournaments, but have no aspirations of going pro. I do it solely for the killer workout, the camaraderie with my teammates, and to add some intensity to my life. Even though I've been out of college for several years, I'm still a voracious reader. If you give me a chance, I'll talk your ear off about politics, religion, social issues, etc. I'm very tolerant and good at understanding other's viewpoints, although I'm very confident in my own world view. I'm an agnostic libertarian, by the way. (Not to be confused with an "antagonistic librarian" - although I may well end up as one of those when I'm old.)
I'm proud of where I am in my career right now. It was tough finding a good job with a liberal arts degree, but I've finally made it! My work is valued by my company and people depend on me, and that's always a good feeling. I'm also proud of the fact that, despite my hectic schedule, I manage to stay in good shape. I'm really self-critical when it comes to this though, so suffice to say you won't hear me bragging about it until I win a Mr. Universe competition or take the UFC heavyweight title. Just give me 6 months or so - yeah right!
First of all, PLEASE set up your profile - add a cute pic and write a cool description - before you contact me. Otherwise, I get kinda paranoid and start thinking that you're a dirty old man or a psycho stalker trying to lure me out to some remote barn in the woods... (Yeah, I've probably watched too many cheezy horror movies!) Another thing - I keep getting winks and emails from women who are HUGE. I'm talking morbidly obese. First, I'm not into that. And even if I was, just answer me how I'm supposed to get it on with someone that weighs more than I could ever possibly hope to squat or deadlift (even if I was juicing). I could seriously hurt my back & possibly throw my spine out of alignment, and are you gonna pay for all those visits to the chiropractor? I think not. A better option would be to get on a low-cal diet, hit the treadmill, and lose some of that excess baggage before you go looking for love. Somehow people think that even though they're in horrible shape and feel awful that a relationship will make everything okay. Trust me - it won't! Not trying to be an insensitive jerk about it, but damn!!! Okay, now that we've covered what I'm NOT looking for, we can get down to the real nitty gritty... I'm looking for someone that is mature and has their priorities straight, but hasn't forgotten what it's like to kick back and have a good time. I'd like to meet a woman who is fit and works out regularly like me, and who is adventurous enough to try out some "extreme" activites like snowboarding, rock climbing, even skydiving. You only live once right! Intelligence is also important, but that doesn't necessarily mean you've got to have a PhD. Heck, some of the smartest human beings I've ever met had only a high school education but also had a wealth
