I'm a little reserved at first, but open up easily as the conversation moves along. I'm pretty honest with people and look for the same in them, even when I may not like the answers. Although I'm set I'm set in some of my ways, I understand how important compromise is toward making any kind of relationship work. I like to laugh and try not to take life too seriously or have big expectations. I' m just as comfortable in a tie and coat at a name restaurant as I am out in the woods in jeans and flannel; I deliberately hang on to a few child like qualities - no matter how many times I've been, the zoo is still a fascinating place and I always look for the thrill rides at amusement parks; at the same time I also appreciate natural wonders, historical landmarks and museums. I have wide ranging interests. I have a number of hobbies including animals, woodwork/carving, hunting, fishing, reading, movies, collecting fossils and I love to cook. I like to watch a good football game or soccer match, bullriding and almost any of the winter olympic events.

I'm  flexible and adaptable to most situations and confident and comfortable with myself. I currenly work and go to school and maintain a 3.5 GPA; I'm also an EMT doing freelance jobs occasionally for children's outings; I spent three summers as the medic for a boy scout camp and been invited back to the job for as many summers as I would like to work (I'm flattered that they like me, but it's time I moved on); I've been a single parent for 11 yr, and people tell me I have done a great job; I ran my own small woodworking/carving business on the side for several years; I hold or have held several technical certifications and/or instructorships and have excellent leadership qualities; I still have drive and ambition. I currently work and attend college full time.
