This is the day!

I'm a gal who’s 5' 7". I am told I am beautiful and average-sized. The word that describes me best is spontaneous. There's nothing artificial about me -- what you see is what you get. If you found my name in the dictionary, the definition would say charming southern lady. I have a definite southern accent, also. I enjoy reading  the Newspaper and a few magazines but I really like to spend time on Nonfiction. Life is just full of nice surprises, don't you think? Play me a love song and I'll start humming along. With the right man, I will share myself totally. I can hold my own in a conversation, but I'm a great listener!

I raised two children, a girl and a boy. I accepted custody of two girls not my own and raised them. also helped raise a step-son.  I worked as a community liason with a major oil company in the middle east.  I taught school for a year and a half in an international mission school in the middle east.  I taught ladies Bible study to women in outlying communities where it was unsafe to have Christian materials.  I volunteered as a secretary to an abuse center in d.c. for several years.  I have worked as an executive assistant for a general contractor and a preacher. I was a charter member and organizer of the first in the world toastmasters group for women only.  Took the BSAC diving course when my second child was 10 months old. Taught myself to crochet and knit. Joined my first swim team when I was 26 years old.  Have loved and supported many friends through the years.  Had a successful marriage for 28 years.  Ran a home with a small staff, coordinated the schedules and calendars of four people and had family meals almost every night for 16 years.  I enjoy meeting people and my family would say I have never met a stranger.

I would like for him to be Christian - Other, Protestant. I like men who are at least 5' 10". I love a good conversation as much as the next person,  no topic is taboo when we meet. Mr. Right, if you're reading this, I want you to know this about me it's been quite awhile since i was involved in a real relationship and I'm a bit nervous. People would describe my ideal man as intelligent, mature, reasonable, responsible, stylish but not a clothes horse, socially adept, positive, reliable, cheerful, generous, loving, kind, emotionally available, truthful, faithful, humorous, active, fit but not obsessed with fitness, humble.
