I'm a pretty laid back kind of guy. I like to relax, kick back, watch movies, a little tv (mostly history channel and sci fi), and read books (sci fi and fantasy novels). I enjoy the occasional outing with some good friends to see a new movie, play some mini golf, or hit a theme park during the summer. I try to avoid getting stressed out, though sometimes work (and life) make that a bit difficult. I've got a regular 9-5 (well, 8 to 4:30) job 5 days a week that keeps me busy during the day and little to occupy my leisure hours except some of the above mixed in with the occasional exercise. I consider myself fairly open minded and accepting of most things. There are some things I do have somewhat strong opinions of, but, for the most part, I'm capable of "agreeing to disagree" as far as those things go.

I take a fair amount of pride in my work, whatever form it may be. The occasional woodworking project (when I have the time, money, and tools to consider it) as well as the programs I write at work. If the project is something I care about, I won't be content with cutting corners on it. Things may take longer, or cost a little more, but, it's worth it in the end.

I'm looking for someone down to earth, reliable, and honest (I've had enough of girls toying around and trying to play me like a drum). Long hair and a nice smile are turn ons for me, but having nothing between the ears but a vacuum is a distinct turn Off. Ideally I'm looking for someone interested in the long term, settling down, and (eventually) starting a family. My interests are fairly geeky in nature (I am an IT guy after all), so it wouldn't hurt if she had at least a passing interest in that kind of stuff.
