After being a widow for 8 years, I have learned to look at myself as an individual instead of Mother or Wife, but it is because of good memories of both that I would like to find someone to share some special moments with. I do miss the physical sharing. I enjoy male companionship. The sharing of a good laugh or a happy moment is so much better when you have someone beside you.  Remember laying beside your mate talking of the days happenings. The closeness that you feel. Oh how I miss that! I guess being somewhat old fashioned, I enjoy doing things for someone special rather than just doing because it has to be done.  I find myself just cooking what is easy now, instead of full meals. It would be nice to have it appreciated by someone other than myself. I am a native Texan who moved to the Carolinas 6 years ago. I live alone but close to my son.  I enjoy roaming around the Carolinas,  learning the back roads and seeing more than you see from I-85 or I-77. I enjoy finding small home town restaurants instead of the chain restaurants.  I love small stores that may carry anything and everything. I am finding these hidden on back roads.  I guess I just love to explore. I am a history nut and treasure my heritage. I love to go to old houses and plantations.  I find myself driving and looking at the back corners and only use the major highways when I need to get to somewhere specific. I have my digital camera with me and take photos of old houses and barns. I enjoy the computer and use it as a research tool and communication with my family and friends. I also do a lot of photo restoration and printing of old photos. I guess the computer fills a lot of my time alone in the evenings and on cold, bad weekends.  I miss having someone to share my time with. Looking for someone who enjoys rides in the country or quiet evenings at home. A good movie or an exciting evening out is great occasionally, but not a must all the time. I really like being with someone it is easy to  relax with. Must have a good sense of humour. I love to explore and hope to find someone who likes to do that too.
