What makes me unique? Let's see... I am lazy and I don't like to work. I am a microwave cook and don't like being in the kitchen or domestic duties in general. I dream of someday going back to college to study filmmaking, perhaps to be a camera person or even a director. I like to watch movies and tv (mostly scifi and fantasy, NOT reality-tv!), listen to music (old rock'n'roll and eclectic music), sing, write poetry and music, write journals, take photos, play EverQuest, read books, swim, bicycle, hike, camp, and go to cultural and artistic events. I love eating Indian and Italian food. I am something of a "new ager" with my tarot cards, crystals and belief in reincarnation. I also believe that thought (especially beliefs) creates reality. I have studied metaphysics and the occult for the last eighteen years of my life and it is ongoing still. I'm a searcher after the mysteries  and beauties of life. If you are a man who expects me to get you beer and be "Miss Susie Homemaker" then don't bother contacting me because we are definitely NOT compatible.

I think my biggest accomplishment so far is my daughter Aurora. She is also the best and most important person in my life, so know that she is part of the package if you contact me.I went to college at Mankato State University for over three years. I have been to Halifax, Nova Scotia and to Egypt. I long to travel more, especially Scotland, England, France, Italy and India! I was born in Alabama, and lived through the infamous April 3, 1974 tornado that weather people still talk about, but I spent most of my childhood in Southern California. As a teenager I spent two summers with my family driving cross-country in a blue, converted '57 Flexible bus. Six of us and a dog named Sylvia travelled the United States for two summers, stopping in Indiana for a school year and finally settling in South Dakota. I have lived in the Black Hills of SD, Tucson, AZ, Mankato, MN, Castaic, Newhall and Ukiah, CA and Shirley, NY. I am planning to relocate perhaps to California or Arizona in the next few years. Other than my dauther and my travel accomplishments, I am currently starting my own computer support business. I am also trying to become a freelance writer and photographer. I long to be my own boss rather than work under someone else and follow their rules.

I want a man who can think beyond a high school reading level. I want a man who reads books that actually make you think and actually expand your mind. I'd like it if he wrote poetry (and for similair reasons to me, if possible) and had other artistic pursuits. I write, do photography (when I can afford it), and sing and I'd like a man in my life who expresses himself artistically as well. I'd also like a man who is in to nature and the outdoors. I'd prefer it though that he doesn't want to be out there all the time. I want a man who likes to learn about other cultures and travel when we can. I want a man who likes to explore the many sides of our own culture, especially artistically and through food (esp Indian and Italian). I want a man who likes to also have fun through watching movies and tv sometimes (except commercials) and listen to music, sing and dance. And I would really love it if this man was handy around the house and can fix what breaks because I can't! But maybe with his help, I'll learn how. Anyway, that is a pretty good description of what my ideal man whould be. I also wouldn't mind if he was somewhat good looking but he doesn't have to be too gorgeous or too not handsome either. I do NOT want any man who thinks my job is to get him beer.  I also do NOT want any guy who's main interest include watching sports, drinking beer and playing cards with boys.  If this describes you, then don't even bother contacting me because you are wasting bother our time.
