I moved to Brookings about 4 years ago after living in other states for 20 years and have not made many non-work friends yet; so life is often lonely right now. I am a kind and caring person. I am honest.  I enjoy hunting, fishing, birdwatching, movies, listening to a variety of music (especially classical), art, and taking walks.  I also like museums or studying anything that has to do with history or natural resources. I enjoy growing flowers on the deck of my apartment. I would enjoy dancing more if I could learn to do it better. I would like to take ballroom dancing lessons sometime. I do tend to be a home body, but I also like to get out once in a while, especially if I have a friend to go with.  I was in a 12 year relationship which ended a few years ago. We never married, but it still felt like a ... when it ended. Even though my ex significant-other has absolutely no interest in a reconciliation, I still have feelings for her. Therefore, I don't feel that it is a good idea for me to get involved in anything that could turn into a serious relationship at this time. I guess I want to be very honest about that up-front because I don't want any woman I spend time with to get the wrong idea and get hurt. I would like to spend some time with someone who is kind, honest, and open. I guess I am looking for friendship, companionship, someone to laugh and talk with; and possibly a touch of romance and intimacy. However, I am not interested in one-night stands.  I enjoy cuddling and hugging.  I would like someone who is willing to communicate openly and honestly with me no matter what the subject or situation.
