I am a writer and a model, but writing is my passion. My favourite author is J.R.R. Tolkien- I am a fantasy writer after all. I write novels, short stories, and poetry. Yes,I am published, for any doubters out there. I have a wide variety of interests--everything from bungee jumping and other extreme sports to the symphony, from Beethoven to Marilyn Manson, from philosophical discussion to hard core action (not going to specify here). You'll just have to ask about the in betweens. I love Nature and animals. I especially love the ocean. I am a dancer-everything from swing and contra to ballroom dancing to belly dancing, some ballet and freestyle. Usually I just blend them as I dance. I love to party! Life is too short to be bored. I love a good drum circle where I can fire-dance around a giant bonfire. It (or something else) puts me in an altered state. I believe in ideals. (That's what I get from being born on the cusp of Pisces.) My highest ideals are Nature, Magic, and Childhood. I never want to lose touch with those. Love too has now become my ideal. Before I valued friendships and my dogs Vengeance and Neptune the most (they are like my children). "Between love and the noblest cause there can be no contest". I am a romantic idealist. Am I the only one left?
I have earned my Associates of Arts degree. I graduated Summa Cum Laude (with a 4.0 g.p.a.). I am still working toward my B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I still maintain my 4.0 with only about 17 more credits left to go. The first poem I ever sent in to an editor was published by the National Poet's Society and put on a limited edition cassette tape. It went into an anthology and I was later asked to write another poem for the anthology Best Poets of 1998. I was nominated for Poet of the Year in 1997 by the International Society of Poets, of which I am Distinguished Member. I have since had almost a dozen poems published in various magazines and journals. I am proud to say that 5 of them were printed by The Journal of the American Tolkien Society. That makes me exceptionally proud because Tolkien is my favorite prose and poetry writer. I just recently had my first short story accepted for publication. I have been PAID for doing what I love the most! I have completed a novel and two books of poetry. I am also in the process of completeing two books that are collections of my short stories. I am currently looking for an agent to pitch these to the big name publishers who do not accept unsolicited works. I also do volunteer work on and off when my schedule permits. I have worked in a soup kitchen, at the zoo, and at underfunded schools. I am a storyteller and have told stories to children, using stuffed animals as my schtick, at libraries and schools. I have organized give-aways of stuffed animals to the kids in these schools and raised money to help fund local no-kill animal shelters. I give money to environmental charities when I can spare it. I
My soul mate would be someone who shared common interests and ideals. (I've listed some of mine above.) I love a romantic because I am very romantic as well. (These tests have me pegged wrong as an introvert and not putting focus on romance.) I like a woman who is not stuck in gender roles for us. I am a tom boy but also a lady and I like a woman who feels like a Princess sometimes and a knight at others. After all 'The best part of being a woman is that you can be a Princess looking for a Prince or a Queen who doesn't need a King." Just apply that in lesbian terms somehow. :-) I am bi by the way and I don't care if my girlfriend is bi or gay as long as she is okay with me being the orientation I am. I respect someone who is self-confident but not vain. I like to give in take with who's dominant--the more even the better. Loving animals and Nature is a must. I like a lot of affection in a relationship to keep it simmering. I want someone who is okay with PDA to an extent. I want a woman who is comfortable with her sexuality and not afraid to express herself. I admire people who are good listeners and empathetic to people's hurts. I need someone I can trust to be there when the chips are down. Friends are really important to me, so I often take notes on how well a person treats their friends and how long she keeps them. ( A big turn-over rate is telling.) I desire someone who is understanding and open. Talking honestly but gently with one's partner is a must for a healthy relationship.&n bsp; ; I do NOT get along well with judgemental people. It is fine to have strong values but you must be able to let other people live the way they choose without interference. I do have some strong beliefs that it is essential for my partner
