I am 5'4" tall, green eyed, brown hair w/ some grey, weigh 175 lbs.  I put large on my profile..because I think I am.  Some say I'm a few lbs. overweight...just didn't want to lie about anything. Now that that's over, here's the lowdown.... I have a great sense of humor, love to laugh and make others laugh.  My optimism seems to bother some of my friends sometimes (but only the pessimistic few).  I am not a worrier; know God's in control even when I mess up.  My family and friends are very dear to me.  I am loyal, considerate (sometimes to a fault), some call me their "shrink", don't just listen to what is said,I try to look behind the words to find the real problem or reason.  What's important to me?  God, family, friends, hobbies, home, flowers, gardening, dancing (mostly slow now that "old arthur" has moved in. lol Also do scrapbooking, play piano in church, like country, gospel, R&B, jazz, and some rock and roll music.  Love the oldies but goodies.  Fishing has been a favorite hobby of mine since I was a youngster.    Making and keeping new friends is a necessity.  The old are like fine wine, get better all the time.  What makes me unique?  Because I'm not a follower, I guess.  Have always had a mind of my own.  Do not do what others do if I think it's wrong or detrimental to myself or others. I enjoy life.  Am so thankful to be 58 years of age.  The alternative would have been the ending of life.  Hope to live to a ripe old age and sit in my porch swing holding hands and maybe even smooching at 90 years old.

My greatest accomplishment is my three children.  They have good hearts and never make fun of anyone.  That has been a big "no-no" in our home always.  They are my pride and joy.  Also I enjoy volunteering, but I don't get to do that now as I take care of children in my home all week.  Doing for others has given me more happiness than I could ever give them.

Someone who is not afraid to take a risk to make things better.  Not someone who is "Just like me".  That would be boring.  Someone who is intelligent and won't complain because I like to read.  Can be a homebody but also can be spontaneous. Someone who likes to hold hands and is affectionate, tho not overly so. Moral, honest, monogamous, giving, loves kids and the elderly.  Just an all around great guy.
