What makes me unique? Hmm. I am a grad student/savant, but neither side of the slash pays very well right now. I read voraciously. I speak too many languages. I'm trying to get centered.
I'm into the arts, especially music and film. I love hitting bookstores, coffehouses, galleries, museums. I like to stay fit and active by running a couple miles or practicing yoga until seeing myself attempt a posture just becomes too embarrassing. (LOL)
A top ten list of things I love (in no particular order): hardwood floors, the color red, foreign films, chaos (but only a little), jazz, imperfection (but only a little), road trips, the ocean, Italian food, poetry.
I've been successful academically and professionally (I worked in publishing for three years before grad school). Now I'm looking for more personal sources of joy. Contentment and passion are both important to me, so I'm looking for someone who can help me cultivate both. In the long run, I'm looking for a partner, but I'm certainly up for meeting more friends along the way.
"To love another is something like prayer and can't be planned; you just fall into its arms because your belief undoes your disbelief."-- Anne Sexton
I don't have a specific list in mind here, but I'd like to meet someone who can handle a night out at the theatre and a night of mindless reality TV with equal aplomb. Typcially, I go for guys who are my age or slightly older with creative spirits and just enough nerd in them to be cute. :)
