It was my birthday and I was
showing a gift. I really was happy but
camera didn't catch that.
I'm still working but look forward to off time to enjoy the outdoors, and nature. I love this state and enjoy traveling in almost any direction to enjoy the scenery and events. I really enjoy western events, dances, boots and fringe, antiqueing and historical places. Beauty shops make me nervous perhaps beca use I was licensed years ago but that's not my profession. I can dress up but am also comfortable in jeans and love to sit on river banks skipping rocks and absorbing nature. My hobbies include gardening, genealogy, metal detecting, travel, sewing as well enjoying my two grands and my (ageing) animals. I'm sentimental and romantic and as a pasttime, television is not for me since I am mostly a "doer".
I raised a very decent son who is a great person and family man that would be #1 !! I quit drinking (alcohol) 9-12-1981 (but being around social drinking doesnt bother me). I became a Texan in 1976 Other accomplishments would be becoming a whole person who is OK alone or with others even talking with strangers. I do not consider myself a "liberated" woman but am independent and am told that I have been a success in several ways including a small business that has supported me and some others for several years. I have some licenses but then most people do. Yes, I've had some college but life has been a constant teacher and I hope to never stop learning. Others are important and I try to do things for the less fortunate when I can - since, in my life, I've been there. I was born in Calif. and got to Texas as soon as possible and would never consider returning. My parents were Oklahoma and Tx. so I am not really displaced - it was just a mistake that I wasn't born here! -:)
Number one would be a man who has some spiritual substance and believes in God, is a conservative and has good morals. Someone who is comfortable with himself and at peace with the world without animosities. One who is not obsessing in one direction and is spontaneous and can laugh at life and himself. A sense of humor ranks high as well as liking people. Listening is also important as well as sharing feelings and being flexible. If he lived in the country, that would be a plus. If not, I would hope he would want to visit the country and would enjoy some traveling and want to include others socially at times. Games are not good so I would not want a man who practiced game playing or had a jealousy problem. Car door opening is not necessary but being treated like a lady is.
