I'm a GWM about to turn 50 years young in July 2007. I'm a professional librarian (and an "overbooked" lifestyle, which is a lame attempt at humor) with many varied interests. I enjoy theatre (I have five season subscriptions during the current year), movies, attending classical musical concerts (I have a season subscription to Boston's Handel & Haydn Society), museums, reading, dining out, intelligent conversation, and quiet times at home with friends.

Oh let's see. Given my library background, I collect books among other things. I have a number of different collections of books. Currently I subscribe to one signed first edition book club. I have autographs from several Nobel Prize winners including Elie Wiesel and Goa Xping (2000 Nobel laureate in Literature from China; please excuse my mispelling of the name). In addition, I collect novels by Gore Vidal, Douglas Coupland (Go Canada!), Christopher Rice, Andrew Sean Greer, Greg Kihn, Peter Straub among others. I also collect seascape paintings (I have about a dozen, mostly prints but some small originals), and CDs (soundtracks and showtunes).

Although I have no preconceived romantic ideal, some types are more attractive initially than others. Physically, smooth, hairless or minimally hairy men (e.g., Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, Josh Hartnett, Matt Daimon, Matthew McConaughy-types) get my attention first as do GAM and GBM. Age is not a big factor. Having a pleasant personality, able to converse in complete sentences, having some idea about the world we live in, educated and cultured, clean and neat are some attributes that I particularly admire. I also am attracted to an adventurous romantic who's willing to take the risks necessary to enjoy life to the fullest with another man.
