I am a 69 year old widow of 12years, English by birth and American by naturalization in 1964. I consider myself a plain Jane, I have 2 grown children who have families of their own and do not live close to me. I am also a Queen sized lady, at my age I have a few health problems like most people but nothing serious.
I have in my life been in the Royal Air Force, married to an American Airman for 39 years and raised a family while following him wherever the powers that be decided to send him. Settled in North Texas after he retired from USAF, the kids grew up and left home, then I became a volunteer with American Red Cross Disaster Services, for the next 16 or so years, (I have just retired from that due to an auto accident while on assignment with ARC that changed my life). My husband died of liver cancer in Dec 1994, and I have been alone since then. I have learned in the past 12 years that humans are NOT solitary beings, they need the company of others. So here I am looking for a "Teddy Bear" to keep me company.
I am looking for a special someone to share the last part of my life with. I would like to meet a "Teddy Bear" by that I mean someone who is large, cuddly and happy, someone to make me laugh. A bearded gent would be nice as long as that beard is short, neat and clean.
