I am a dork. I love most of the things that most females hate. I love to read, give me a book and I'll read until it's finished. I love to write. I love staying in rather than going out. When I get stressed, I sometimes have a dirty mouth. I like to fish, for goodness sake! Ahh! And animated movies are the best, ever! My friends and my family are my life. My cat is my baby. Disney World is the most amazing place on earth! I'm currently learning Italian becuase lately I've been so engrossed with Italy that I've fallen in love with it, it's history, culture, everything. I don't do anything halfassed, but I'm not a perfectionist either. I can make some mean scrapbook pages, but some of my essays can be kinda rough. I'm really a big kid at heart. I love reading some of the Young Adult Literature that I'll be teaching, and they are some pretty good reads. I love music, mainly country and contemporary Christian, and I recently got a acoustic guitar that I'm learning to play...unsuccessfully. I was also recently in a car wreck that shattered my ankle. The ankle is steal healing, but soon I will be able to walk on it. But not without the support of a walking boot for a couple weeks. But it's better than the alternative. I'm a recent grad of Virginia Highlands Community College, and I'm a current junior at UVA Wise for English (and maybe History) to teach. Teaching is something that I've longed to do since I was younger. I hope that I'll be able to influence students to becoming more than what society already has planned for them.I'm a captain and volunteer for Relay For Life in three different counties. I've recently become a donor for Locks of Love. And hopefully soon I'll be working with Habitat for Humanity. Volunteer work is an amazing feeling, and I hope to volunteer more time to things in the future.
