My faith in God is very important to me and is an integral part of who I am. I strive to emulate Jesus in all aspects of my life. I'm not perfect (by any stretch of the imagination), and I don't expect others to be.I'm introverted. My energy comes from solitude, not from being with people. However, I'm not one to lock myself the closet and never go out in public. I love spending time with good friends. Or going out on the town. Just realize that afterwards I'm going to need some "me" time to refuel.I'm also something of geek. I love discussing books, movies, and playing old school Trivial Pursuit. I actually enjoyed school (sans homework). :) I like surrounding myself with "intellectual" people...but not boring people. (This would make more sense if you knew my friends...but that's an entirely different subject.)I love to laugh. I have a good sense of humor, albeit sarcastic at times. Ok...sarcastic most of the time. I'm of the philosophy that if you can't take it, don't dish it out. I can definitely take it.Oh, and very important, I'm a self-acknowledged Dr. Pepper addict. And I have no intention of quitting. :)
I really don't like to do this kind of thing. It's why I hate interviewing for jobs. Let's see...I've got a college degree, and I'm working on my master's. I'm also working 40 hours a week to pay for grad school, which is no small feat. I sing on the Worship Team at church (meaning I have a decent singing voice). I can pick up a tennis ball with my toes. I have drunk an entire 2 liter of Dr. Pepper in one sitting. And if there's a crack in the sidewalk (real or imaginary), I will be the one to trip over it.
He must be someone who is devoted to God above all else...even me. I want a spiritual leader for our family (when we have one). He will challenge me to be stronger in my faith, encourage me to not let life get me down, and support me when it does. He needs to have a sense of humor and find my sarcasm charming. I'm looking for someone who is a mixture of Mr. Knightley from Emma and Mr. Darcy from Pride & Prejudice. If you're not familiar with Jane Austen, then that means absolutely nothing to you. Also add in a dash of Petruchio from The Taming of the Shrew (Shakespeare). ;)
