   I am an educated,  mature, civilised, compassionate, romantic Italian. Love to travel, but can enjoy a pleasant time at home with family or friends. I like to read, to listen to jazz and classical music, but also some contemporary pop music. I am a movie buff .  I love classical and contemporary films and frequent the film festivals. I appreciate fine wine and good food. I enjoy playing golf or tennis with my friends. Something as simple as a cup of good coffee with a friend can be the high point of my day. I am happy just as I am, but desire to share the good life with someone I love. The true love of a man and a woman is the most divine thing in the universe. True romantic love is rare but everyone desires to find it. We deceive ourselves so easily when it comes to love. I don't believe that falling in love is the same as being in love .  Falling in love admits the possibility of falling out of love. Being in love is fidelity, resolute but flexible, erotic attraction, but taking the beloved as they are with no illusions that it confers a happiness beyond celebrating the beauty and goodness of the beloved, so that being with her is itself consummate joy.  If you think this is too idealistic, then you may have fallen in love, but you have never really been in love. Nothing is more practical than falling in love in a final way. Who you are in love with, the one who seizes your imagination, affects everything: It decides what gets you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, what you know that breaks your heart and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, be in love, stay in love and it will decide everything.

   I have a doctorate in philosophy and film studies, Ph.D. from Georgetown University and MA from Harvard University.  I studied in Rome, Italy and at Oxford University. I have been a successful college professor. I have given lectures at the University of Virginia, George Mason University, and Boston College.  I starred in and helped produce and direct an independent film.  An independent film director and I have formed an independent film production company which is just getting off the ground.  Our second film is completed: Xscape .  I studied and traveled in Italy and in Europe. While studying in England at Oxford University, I first fell in love. My great virtue can be my great vice: I fall in love too easily. On the one hand, "Ma, la donna e mobile," (A woman's heart can be fickle) as the Italians would say, on the other hand, I can be a very stable and faithful person. But that doesn't mean I am not passionate.  I am fire in love and ice when not in love. I am never lukewarm .  The world is full of the lukewarm.. I have authored a book on the Nature of Love, In Praise of Love Adorned . Chess is my in-door game of choice. I was brought up not to brag about my accomplishments. My life has been full of many happy achievements and I look forward to many more. I am looking for the love of my life but have yet to find her.

If a woman doesn't think Intelligence is Sexy, then there are plenty of  male animals for those female animals who live on that level. Sex is a great joy in life, but it is 95% in your head and 5% in the body. Some might say, "Viva la cinque percentuale!" As an Italian, I admit there is some truth in that.;) 5% is 5%!     When I said I am a Romantic, I mean that in spite of unhappy experiences with beautiful women; I have not embraced John Donne's pessimistic view of them in his poem, Catch A Falling Star :  "Ride ten thousand days and nights, Till age snow white hairs on thee, Thou, when thou return'st, wilt tell me, All strange wonders that befell thee, And swear, No where Lives a woman true and fair ."     I hope to meet an intelligent, educated, loving, romantic, beautiful lady who shares my interests in life, who will enjoy being with me as I will being with her.  There is no such thing as a perfect woman or a perfect man. I believe in the complementary equality of men and women.  Only  mutual love   can make two people perfect for each other.More than friends but never less, we will know each other when we meet. Friends, partners, mates, and lovers: Freedom means belonging to each other. I have come to appreciate the natural wonder of a beautiful woman. "Beautiful girl walk a little slower when you walk by me." My Juliet will make me out Romeo Romeo!
