I am single and live alone, but not lonely most of the time, because I am 'comfortable being 'with myself', but do miss the hugs, and snuggles, and companionship of a partner, friend, and confidant..etc, 'you know'.?.
Well, to be quite frank with you all. I have not lived a 'sheltered' life. I brought myself up since about 9yrs old and make a lot of mistakes along the way. I had to go there so I could be and appreciate being where I am now! I have found that ["life is to short"] for 'what if's' and could have beens, and should have dones. One has to live in the present is 'my opinion'
No, I don't ride Harleys, [I did take a lovely ride through Montreal on a Honda Gold wing once, 250mi. run] nor participate in spectator sports [except some women's basketball]...Having said that, I certainly don't mind if you do. I don't need to be entertained all of the time.
I have lived alone for over 20yrs. and much of that time I was caring for the elderly in their homes, many times 24/7 for wks and sometimes months at a time. Then, a wk off and back at it again. Yes, time goes by fast!
I am somewhat of a home body, but enjoy short hikes, admiring the wonders of nature and walks on the park with my dog. [Toy Chihuahua], and he never gets tired of hearing how beautiful he is. I enjoy bringing him to visit nursing homes, it is a wonderful experience for everybuddy. I enjoy my pc's a little too much, and like to watch some tv [sitcoms, lifetime dramas, etc] I am getting out in the rain and in the beautiful weather, and I enjoy them both.
Also, I spend a lot of time in the AA fellowship, activities , etc. Yes, I am a friend of Bill's. Other than that I don't get out to socialise much... not much going on here in Newport.
Well hmmm I do community service work and take my dog to nursing homes to visit the elderly. That is great for all concerned. Making people smile and laugh everywhere I go with my smile or antics. I have had many different jobs, in my lifetime. Once was an assistant supervisor over 35 men and 3 women.
My soulmate would be gentle and softspoken . One who is understanding, and who is comfortable with themself And having some of the same qualalities that I have. I am very open to learning new things
