Many amazing changes happening in my life. Working on a novel, a short story and a nonfiction article. Lost 93 pounds.

How can I explain myself when I haven't figured myself out yet?  God makes all of us unique, but I guess I've always felt way different. I'm a politically liberal, committed Seventh-day Adventist Christian.  It's nice to know God loves even his most eccentric children.  I'm a person of many talents, writing, cooking, laughter to ... a few.  I can't imagine how people go through life without a sense of humor.  Mine is one of the most irreverent.  It's hard for me to resist a punchline.  Sometimes I just have to bite my tongue.  Most of the time I don't try, even when I should, but I have the gentlest most vulnerable heart.  I can give you depths of love, but it takes a little while to really get to know me.  I'm physically very expressive of affection, so I need someone who understands that. Christ is my center, my vision, the source of all my joy.

God really is accomplishing great things in my life. I'm having a great time. I like all kinds of music: ancient plainsongs from cloistered monks, marvelous florid stuff from Bach and baroque composers (if it ain't baroque, don't fix it). I also enjoy alternative and Christian Rock, I'm a poet. I'm learning to write fiction, but I've written nonfiction for years.  I write pithy, odd, sweet, lyrical, sometimes funny, sometimes childlike stuff. I teach a weekly Bible study class for adults at my local church, like to cook volume for special events, would read voraciously if I had more time. Worked ten years in radio and television news.

Gosh...who am I looking for?  A Christian man, certainly. I'm attracted to intellect, to a sense of power and strength.  Someone to laugh with.  Someone to kiss.  I like to hang out and watch a basketball or NFL game. I love to go to movies. Simple stuff....fortable stuff.  And someone to hunker down with in a cabin beside the sea in the winter.  I want a strong shoulder to cuddle against, warm arms to encircle me and a good mind to exchange ideas and wonder and wit.
