I'm a laid-back, down-to-earth woman who both appreciates her role as a mother and enjoys letting the kid in her get out and play. I'm really into: nature, animals, creative expression (writing, painting, etc.), constant learning, and of course my friends and family.

I've been through enough in my life that things don't generally shake me and I am very easy-going. I am a very loyal friend though, once you get to know me. I am equally happy camping out in the boonies or hanging out in the city.

My ideals with regard to socio-political matters center around equality and harmony. I do what I can to make the world a better place, but I also know that I have to take care of myself (and my kids. and my partner) first. I have no problem sharing and giving (to causes, charity, etc.) when I am capable of doing so, and along the same lines I can generally be relied on when a friend is in a pinch and needs a huge favor.

I'm told that I'm funny but I can also be quiet and introspective. I love my "alone" time but also love hanging out with my friends and family. I don't live a particularly exciting daily life but I do know how to have fun and I'm not afraid to try new things.

I consider myself a very spiritual person, but not in a religious sort of way. The path I follow is more a mixture of Wicca/Goddess spiritualty and Native American traditions. All the same, I'm very open-minded and I don't judge others for their beliefs. I think that spirituality is more of an expression of everyday life than any ritual or practice!

As a writer, I tend towards the creative, and thrive in an atmosphere that fosters intellectual and expressionistic learning. In other words, I love to talk about and learn new things.

Well, let's see. I've managed to raise two children to the ages of 13 and 12 without any of us dying or meeting with ill-fated circumstances!

I'm college educated, although with the life I've lived I think my most vital education comes from the school of hard knocks. Professionally, I've had success as a computer (IT) professional, a staff trainer, a desktop publisher, and an administrative assistant over the years. Can you say jack of all trades? Yeah, that's me.... But my true calling is as a writer, and I have actually published some stuff and am currently working on my second novel. (No, I haven't published my first one yet--haven't tried, actually.)

I've voluntered for the Humane Society, for Habitat for Humanity, and have participated in varoius community projects (although I moved recently to a new area).

I used to act (in college) but decided I prefer the writing end of things. I have done some community theatre and actually really enjoy working with the props and scenery more than anything.

Okay. I suck at bragging. I really do. I think I'm more than a resume anyway, golldarnit.

My only real demand is that a woman I meet needs to be REAL. No lies, no pretense. Just be yourself. Ideally, you have a sense of humor and can carry on a decent conversation. I like to listen as much as talk, myself (maybe even more?). I can be a little on the shy side, so someone who's not afraid to pull my out of my shell would be great. Do I care what you look like?
