I am down to earth,sensible, pretty modest (ok so saying your modest is immodest), straight forward, fairly outgoing, type A personality disorder;-) according to my friends, a believer and lover of the Lord, mission minded, love kids, the go-to girl, a loyal friend(always there when you need me), a friend to youth (protective of kids in trouble can relate to them, I am MOM to 1/2 the kids in my county,lol), you can usually find me at a HS game ( Football, basketball, soccer, baseball, track ,cheering on my kids and everyone elses, well they are all MY kids), always try to set a good example but like to have fun, family is important, for the most part a homebody but love to camp and go to beach, take trips, a romantic at heart, love horses (been riding since age 3) and most animals, grew up a city kid (NY) but much prefer country living and more laid back lifestyle. I love flea markets, antiquing, yard sales, long walks, sitting by a fire, sitting under the stars, old movies (romance comedies are the best), laughing, slow dancing is nice too. I love holidays, I like order but sometimes have trouble doing that, always willing to help others. I work with at risk teens on a volunteer basis and we will soon become a foster family. I love gardening and just finished a Master Gardeners course. I am widowed  but I was just poking around and some friends encouraged me to post if for nothing more than to find a 'friend' who may share my interests (do I sound odd? I'm not really, just lonely right now, and not desperate... there IS a difference.  I am an old fashioned kind of girl.

I am about God and family, thats whats important to me.  My greatest accomplishments are 27, 21, 16 and 15 and all boys!  I am mission minded and do at least one trip every year.  I run a volunteer program at our HS and MS for at risk youth and adore those kids.  I am about to become a foster parent and have just added another teen to our home.  I adore kids, always have.  My entire world is one big mission field, its the path the Lord has put me on since I was a teenager and thats to help kids, anywhere anytime.

I like romance and chivalry, court me, melt my heart, make me weak in the knees (is that unrealistic?) I dont live in a fantasy world but I do believe in romance! I am independant to a point but not a feminist, no way, I know when I need someone or need help. I would like to be with someone of similar interests but I do enjoy learning and trying new things (within reason). Honesty and loyalty are paramount. A good christian man is who I would like to get to know, someone with good morals and standards but with a romantic soul (dancing in the kitchen anyone?)and a very tender heart (crying at a sappy movie is ok). (Shallow, vain people and those who drink too much or use drugs need not apply). Court me, show me that romance isn't dead and buried, hold my hand, look at me like I am the only one in the world. I in turn will treat you as the most special thing in the universe, candlelight dinners, cuddling, lots of hugs and kisses, long lingering stares into each others eyes (each others soul), maybe make you weak in the knees.
