Well, flirting comes naturally when you feel confident. And being confident comes from being comfortable, but that doesn’t mean sweats. You need clothes that’ll help you make your statement without making the wrong statement for you. Follow these 10 signs to be your most flirtatious as you navigate the highways and byways of fashion.

	No Hitchhiking. Don’t jump on somebody else’s bandwagon. You don’t have to wear the latest trend just because it’s in fashion right now. But what you can do is adapt any style to your age. Pick a look and then make it age-appropriate. In your 20s? Go full throttle. Your 30s? Throttle back a little. Your 40s? Knock it down a speed. You’ll have the look without looking like a traffic accident.
	Stop. Unless you’re Indiana Jones, skip the fedora. Hats are for people who wear uniforms, like baseball players and cowboys. A hat will keep him from seeing your face. And if that’s not enough of a reason to go topless, consider these two words: Hat hair.
	Be Prepared to Stop. A little sparkle makes everybody shine. A lot of sparkle equals disco fever. Every girl wants to enter a room and have it light up, but not literally! So dim your lights. Keep the glitz and glamour to a minimum and you’ll get maximum effect.
	Detour. Use a ruffle to draw attention to a body part: Great arms? Go for the shoulder or sleeve ruffle. Traffic-stopping legs? The hem ruffle’s for you. But if your legs aren’t your best feature – if they look like Arnold Schwarzenegger on a bad day – then terminate the idea of fluffy fabric by your knees and put the spotlight somewhere else.
	Dangerous Curves Ahead. Don’t be afraid to show your shape – men like curves. Clingy fabric works on all figure types, from full-figured to athletic to stick-thin. But danger warning: Success lies in choosing something clingy, not constricting.
	Wrong Way. Are your low-rise jeans showing the wrong curves? Even models look bad if the style creates a roll. Find jeans that are friendly to your whole figure and skip the latest style. The jeans that look good on you ARE the right style.
	No U-Turn. Underwear is never outerwear. Period. Somehow thongs have gone from the solution to VPL (Visible Panty Line) to just plain VP (Visible Panties). Want to show off your thong? Wait ‘til you get to the bedroom or the beach.
	Weight Limit. Tropical prints can make you look like a hot mama … or a hot gorilla. Make sure the size of the print is inversely proportionate to your size. Translated: If you’re small, wear a big print. If you’re big, wear a small print. In-between? It’s outfit-by-outfit. Check the mirror and ask the salesperson.
	Yield. Going for the Western look? Yes, hats and belts and buckles and fringe are fun, but pick one piece and let it make the statement for you. Going full-on cowgirl only makes you look like a rodeo clown. Or Dale Evans.
	One Way. Everybody has one shade that makes their skin come alive. To find yours, go to your favorite store and find a shirt that comes in numerous colors, then try every shade on. You don’t have to buy the shirt, but you will find your magic color.

What it all comes down to is this: Fashion is what you see on the runways and in the magazines. Style is how you make fashion your own. Take the trends and turn them around until they fit you, not the other way around. Using what you wear to tantalize, excite and entice will have you in the flirting fast lane in no time flat.
